Click for everything to do...................never again will a young person in Darlington claim there’s ‘now’t to do’!

That’s the aim of this website!

We want to list everything happening in Darlington for young people aged 13 to 19.

So if you’ve got nothing to simply click on this site to find out when your local youth club, football team, dance school or scout group meet and head on down to check them out!

How have we got here?

Well in April 2007 we launch the idea of something called the Youth Offer (the Government’s plan for creating a list of all the positive activities happening in Darlington) with the Yo-Yo event in the market square.

Following on from this we held a meeting at The Forum for anyone interested in helping us develop this list. Likely some enthusiastic young people turn up and over the past year have worked with us to create this site. So many thanks must go to Becca, Sophie, Gary, Dan, Thomas, Danny, Jake, Emily, Hannah, Katie and Lauren.

In the run up to the site going live the group, known quite simply as The Click Group (check out their pages on the What’s On section of the site), have been responsible for a number of key developments including:

• Naming the site.........thanks Gary!!!
• Working with a graphic artist to develop several logo’s for the site.
• Running a competition ask you which of the logo’s you preferred....the winning one now proudly featured on the site.
• Researching what groups are in Darlington and should be included on the site.
• Planning events such as Click in the Park and Click goes Live to raise the profile of Click.
• Working with a Company called Opportunity Links to develop the look and sections of the site.

So what happens now?

We need to make sure that all that every young person and activity provider in Darlington knows about the site and accesses it on a regular basis.

We need you to send us feedback on the activities listed on the site, what you think about what they provide, do the times, location and costs suit you?

If you don’t go to any of the activities listed then why not, is there nothing there that you’re passionate about, would different times and venues make them more accessible?

Once we’ve got your feedback we will investigate and work with all the relevant groups to see if your suggestions are possible, and wherever possible turn them into reality!

Want your group, event or activity to be featured on the Click ..........for everything to do site?

Well...............it couldn’t be easier!!

Simply contact me, details at the bottom of the page, and I’ll send you user name, password and user guide.

Once you’ve got this you can log onto the site and upload you own information. It’s not difficult there are just a couple of simple forms to complete, press publish and just like magic it’ll appear on the site.

Don’t worry the user guide gives step by step instructions from logging in, to which forms to complete, to how to upload images and documents to logging out.

The best part is once you’ve got this you can up-date and change your information any time and any place. As far as we are concerned the more often the better!!
